Mercy Health’s Benefit Ball, was held on Saturday, November 7, at the newly renovated Muskegon Country Club. The updates have really made the club spectacular – a perfect location for a wedding or party. Jamie and Doug from Chalet Floral provided the flowers, decor and lighting with a beautiful natural and rustic look. Connie and Cliff from The Chair Cover Collection provided chair and table drapes – always a fantastic finishing touch for your event. Over 200 guests enjoyed elegant evening, dancing to the music of Oregon Dreamchild. Proceeds from this event will support Mercy Health’s efforts to build a new Medical Center.
Fall is my favorite time of year. The cooler temperatures, beautiful fall colors and Halloween are just a few of the things I love. It’s also a great time for senior photos. I met up with Slade on a beautiful fall day in Grand Haven. He is graduating from SLHS and will be headed to Baker College to study finance. He’s been active in theater and was such fun to work with.
When the stars align and we have free time during a September weekend, we make it a point to get out and enjoy all that West Michigan has to offer in the fall. One of my favorite events is Nature’s Creative Edge. More than 45 floral designers gathered for the 10th and final year of this event. “Invention” was this years theme – the designers arrived, not knowing the space or materials they would be working with, creating a night of invention.
I spent a warm, summer evening photographing the horses and riders at Outside In Stables in Grand Haven. It’s not an ordinary stable, during the past 4 years, it has provided over 6,000 hours of equine assisted psychotherapy, rehabbed and retrained 19 thoroughbred horses and introduced 100 young people to horse riding.
If you know me, you know I have a soft-spot for animals and especially those that help others. I volunteered my time for this photo shoot. The images will be used in an upcoming fundraising campaign to build a new barn.
