Quick Wedding Planning Tips

I promised I would share a few tips from the February bridal mixer. Here are a few things we learned last month:

  • Know what’s important to you. Who are you as a couple? Plan a wedding that reflects your personalities as a couple.
  • Work with your partner to find common priorities for the wedding and be willing to negotiate in the planning process. These common priorities will help you plan your wedding, as well as set your budget.
  • Research “priority” vendors (those who provide the things that are most important to you) in your area before you set a budget. A budget is unrealistic if you don’t know the market.
  • Feel good about the money you spend. Consider supporting local vendors (and your community) when at all possible. Not only is spending local good for the economy, it helps you create your wedding story and experience.
